Rift leveling guides
The first thing you’ll see in their leveling sections:
So 6 sections in the leveling part of the xerxes guide. And yeah they’ll be updating their stuff soon. I’m pretty sure they’d already have their level 29 – 50 guides released by the time you read this. Let’s take a closer look at what’s inside these PDFs.
A very important word of advice:
Xerxes have made all these rift level guides as purely questing guides. These leveling guides won’t go into any other exp opportunities such as rifts or dungeons (the beginner’s crash course section does, but dungeons and rifts aren’t integrated with the questing leveling system). I suggest you go and do those whenever the opportunity arises. If you don’t, you’ll find yourself falling behind the optimal level for the quest. Xerxes actually mention this in the beginning of their guide (But I missed that part XD Just thought I’d give you guys a heads up anyways).
Either way, it’s really not that big of a deal. Just go and do those Rifts and Dungeons whenever you can and you won’t find the need to grind for your levels (I haven’t so far).
The rift leveling guide’s layout is as follows:
- You’re given a map (found in the High Quality Maps section)
- The map will have letters assigned to individual areas.
- And from here on out, It’s basically ‘Go to this NPC. Take this quest. Do it like this. Come back here. Do this one etc etc’
I found the layout for the leveling guides really simple. They’re not the most attractive guides, but they’re definitely the most easy to follow. Kudos to xerxes for that. (I hate FAQs/Walkthroughs that beat around the bush, and xerxes guides are far from it). And they’ve also grouped quests together by area, reducing unnecessary travelling times. Kudos to xerxes again.
Another cool little feature is that they have names colour coded. Monster names are highlighted in red, items in green, locations in light blue etc. I found this kinda helpful (Don’t laugh at me. I know I’m not the only who’s confused an item name with an NPC)
Oh and they also have screenshots for what the NPCs / monsters look like:
Other than that there’s not much else to say about these rift leveling guides. Simple and straight to the point is what they are. I’m guessing your question now would be ‘So is this the ultimate rift leveling guide?’
My answer: No it’s not the ultimate leveling guide. But it’s the best one out there right now. It’s not just any old rift grinding guide. It’s very easy to follow user. And all you need to do is take part in some rifts and dungeons if you’re finding a quest (that the xerxes guides are describing) difficult and you’ll be more than fine. I give the leveling section a solid 4.2/5 on the almighty ‘Luke Scale’

That’s the xerxes leveling guides section done. Now onto builds. I’ll be going over what the rift warrior guide has to offer. (Because warriors > mages + clerics + rogues)
Warrior Builds Guide
The contents page for warrior rift guide:
The builds guides have 1 difference compared to the leveling guides, that’s detail detail and more detail. The xerxes level guides were simple and easy to follow (after all there wasn’t much else you could write about questing). Here, right from the off you start learning things like which souls are good against what. I’m not going to tell you exactly what they’re saying (copyright and stuff) but you’ll see from their contents page xerxes have gone all out in this section of their rift guides. Actually here’s a little sneak peak:
- Each endurance point will increase the warrior’s HP by 9.
- A DPS warrior is better off looking for gear with strength and added critical hit rating rather than trying to gather all the dexterity he can get.
- For a tank, max out strength too (along with other stats). Why? Because strength increases block. ‘Huh?’ Yup. Strength increases block.
By now you should have a rough idea of what to expect from their Builds guides. The above little nuggets of wisdom I just shared were only from page 5, and there’s 48 pages of goodness just waiting to be read. I’ve looked over the build guides for the other 3 classes and they too have really cool stuff in there.
I could go on for days about what the xerxes guides have to offer, but I’m going to stop here. An awesome rift guide put together with alot of thought.
Just to clear up any doubts, the Xerxes Guide is totally legit. No illegal bots or anything of the sort.
